Vivian was born 2 lb 2 oz. She spent 120 days in the NICU. She has bilateral club feet, hip dysplasia, and is tube fed. Vivian has many goals to reach as a NICU grad. She is the toughest person I know and an inspiration to our family and friends.
After 9 months of therapy Vivian can stand for almost a minute. This video shows her standing up from her chair. This was the first time she did this. She was so proud of herself! Of course we would've been to this point a long time before if insurance would cooperate and pay for the stander that she desperately needs.
Vivian has been hard at work. Insurance only pays 2 sessions a month. The insurance company doesn't care that Vivian has many different reasons for therapy and several prescriptions from 2 doctors. Ugh! Hopefully they will pay for the stander that she desperately needs so we can build these muscles.
